Meagan + Matt | Spring Engagement Session

Couples

What were you doing right before quarantine happened? I was shooting a wedding in Colorado and planning for my busiest spring yet! I was so excited for all of the Oklahoma Weddings and Engagement sessions that were set to take place, but you know, there were other plans! One of the last sessions I did before all the crazy began was Meagan & Matt’s engagement session in Norman!

I was so excited to meet up with these two at the end of February and start my season off right! We got so lucky with amazing weather, trees that were starting to turn green, and the best part, no wind!! What a rare occurrence it is to have a day without wind in Oklahoma and I was more than okay to take advantage. We are so lucky to have some amazing public access trails in Norman that I love to take couples to when they want a more natural vibe for their engagement session!

Meagan’s dusty rose dress wowed me the second they walked up and I just knew it would going to photograph even better! One of my favorite images came together because of the movement of her dress and how it looked with the light! When it comes to engagement outfits I am always happy to give suggestions. One of the tips I always give is how great long dresses photograph! Long dresses typically bring a more elegant vibe to an outfit and create another layer of beauty with the movement they bring to an image! Never be afraid to go bold with a long dress!

These two are getting married this fall in Texas and though I’m not photographing their wedding, I am so honored and thankful I got to take their engagements AND Meagan’s OU senior pictures! Their love is so apparent and made my job a breeze. From piggy back rides to popping champagne these two had no issues being relaxed in front of the camera! I hope you love their engagement session as much as I do! Happy scrolling 🙂
