You can find me counting down the days until Abby & Skyler’s July wedding, but for now I am so excited to share their engagement session at the OKC Farmers Market and Scissortail Park in Downtown OKC!
I met Abby through my sorority at OU, Gamma Phi Beta, and she is one of the people I am SO thankful the sisterhood brought into my life! Throughout our time at OU I had the privilege of sharing tons of memories with Abby and even got the chance to room with her in G Phi for a semester while we were on the executive team! I started to get to know Skyler after a few OU football tailgates and quickly knew that A & S were truly meant for each other!
Abby & Skyler are getting married this July at the OKC Farmers Market! They wanted to begin their session at the Farmers Market as a way to introduce their venue via Save The Dates. I am always down to start at my couples venue! Not only is it nice for me to get an idea of their favorite spots of the venue, it helps them get a sneak peek of how their wedding photos will look! Just add a white dress and a tux! haha The OKC Farmers Market is a great option for engagement pictures for couples who aren’t getting married there as well! The vintage charm and modern surroundings make it the perfect option for couple who like variety in backdrops.
After the OKC Farmers Market, we ventured to one of my new favorite spots for OKC engagement pictures! Scissortail Park is one of the newest additions to the Oklahoma City downtown entertainment area and it is the perfect spot for my OKC couples to take their engagement pictures. You might notice that the bridge is my favorite spot in the park! Not only is it a leading backdrop, the colors are neutral and the light is spectacular!
The views on the big hill come a close second in my book thanks to the amazing views of the Oklahoma City Skyline! A tip for any couple who might want to take engagement pictures at Scissortail Park, a morning session might be your best option! It never fails the Scissortail Park is packed on gorgeous days no matter the day of the week! But morning are slower and that means less people to worry about when picking a spot! Take a look at this family session for proof!
I hope you enjoy some of my favorite images from Abby & Skyler’s downtown OKC engagement session at the OKC Farmers Market and Scissortail Park! I cannot wait to share their wedding with you later this year!
