Haley + Wyatt | CHK Boathouse Winter Wedding
When people ask me when wedding season is, I always say always!! Whether its New Years Eve or the middle of a scorching summer, wedding are still happening! I’ve photographed weddings in Oklahoma for a very long time and have come to realize that weather (or potential weather) won’t stop Bride’s and Groom’s from celebrating! Haley & Wyatt are the perfect example of that with their CHK Boathouse wedding!
These two said “I Do” in early January on a sunny, but very cold winter day! When I first met with them they loved the idea of a winter wedding and had no reservations about braving the cold for photos! When the big day finally arrived, oh man did we get the cold!! Oklahoma is known for its wind and it lived up to the stereotype. Haley made the most of it with her amazing fur coat (and lots of warm up breaks)!
The CHK boathouse was the perfect modern venue for their Oklahoma wedding! It’s no secret that its hard to find a modern look in Oklahoma, let alone downtown OKC! Both the Devon and CHK boathouses offer stunning views of the Oklahoma River and lots of natural light, which every photographer loves! H & W used the CHK boathouse and it turned out amazing! I can’t wait for you to see the stunning sunset that happened right behind their ceremony setup!
Some amazing vendors helped bring this day together! Haley’s dress was a classic wedding gown with a twist from Chantilly Couture Bridal, the boutique I got my own dress from! Bayly Blooms created a stunning winter bridal bouquet full of fluffy blooms and the most amazing greens! Big Truck Tacos supplied my favorite wedding food, a taco bar!! I love a low-key food setup, especially when Queso is involved!
