Kacey + Dakota | Grand Canadian Theater Wedding
Something I don’t talk about enough is how important is it make sure your wedding day is a reflection of your relationship and your personalities! To help give you some inspiration, I’m so excited to share Kacey & Dakota’s Grand Canadian Theater wedding with you that is the PERFECT representation of them!
Kacey & Dakota met through racing dirt bikes and after several years of being friend zoned… Dakota got to marry the love of his life on a sunny February day! Seeing how they incorporated their mutual love of racing into their wedding made the day SO special! From the venue to the cake, everything was tied back to racing! Though it might not seem like a genre that goes great with weddings, I think they pulled it off flawlessly! Their exit was one of my favorites to date, they sure knew how to go out in style!
From the first time I talked to Kacey during our consultation I knew she was going to be the best type of bride! She was so intentional with her time the day of the wedding and kept a level head through all the interesting situations that arose! Pro tip for all brides out there: the day goes by so fast. I promise you don’t want your memories to be about stressing over napkin placement and there being too few flower petals down the aisle. Hire a planner and it will all be okay! Kacey hired the amazing G from Grand Canadian Theater and had nothing to worry about 🙂
I’m so excited for you to see all the amazing elements brought together by an outstanding team! Amy Cakes created a dirt bike wedding cake masterpiece that stole the show at the reception! My girl at Rootstock floral brought the most amazing white and blush blooms that added to the elegance of the venue. Kacey’s dress from Bridal Boutique in Norman was full of soft sparkles and made the best impression as she walked down the aisle! Wait until you see Dakota’s face! I also got to work alongside Alumni Productions as the videographers, they are always so professional and make it so easy to collaborate!
It’s no secret that wedding venues are sparse in the southern part of the OKC metro. I’ve been photographing Norman weddings for along time and the number of venues hasn’t grown much! But I must say, the ones we do have are amazing!! Every time I get to shoot at the Grand Canadian Theater in Purcell I get so excited! Not only because the owners/staff are amazing, but because they put so much thought and intention into the design that helps the wedding day flow so easily!
