Megan + Brian | Scissortail Park Engagement Session

Couples

Hooray for Megan, Brian, and their Scissortail Park engagement session that is sure to make you smile! M + B are one of my 2020 couples that I met up with in the early summer for their engagement photos! Though I had talked with them on the phone for their wedding consult, it was nothing compared to the joy they had in person!

We started off our slightly warm session in front of Flint at the Colcord. I love the architecture of the building and the slightly European feel it brings to the heart of downtown OKC! I’m also obsessed with the beautiful row of trees that sits in front of the Devon Courtyard, talk about dreamy bokeh!

The Myriad Gardens was our next stop and it did not disappoint! The summer flowers were in full boom and gave us a gorgeous backdrop that perfectly complimented Megan and Brian’s blue outfits! I was already a huge fan of the color scheme but as soon as we popped into the lush greenery I knew it was going to be a hit!

Our final stop of the night was the new Scissortail Park! This was my first time to shoot at the park and I am so thankful that M + B trusted me to lead them around! The first time I shoot at a new place is always so exciting and gets my creative brain going! The light was insanely pretty around the whole park and we even made our way down to another Euro style building to tie in that element. If you haven’t made your way down to Scissortail Park in OKC, I highly recommend packing a picnic and making your way down!

I am so excited to be photographing Megan + Brian again in October for their wedding at the Petroleum Club! They are a dream to have in front of the camera, and even nicer people to work with! I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites from their Scissortail Park Engagement Session!

  2. […] Their original plan for their ceremony was to be married at St. Paul’s Cathedral but COVID forced Megan & Brian to pivot. The wonderful staff at the Colcord were able to accommodate the ceremony in their European Style Courtyard! I absolutely love Colcord Weddings because of the elegance on the old building. Oklahoma City might be a relatively new city but the few historic buildings have my heart! I even love using the beautiful hotel for engagement pictures, you can see some of my favorites from Megan & Brian’s summer engagement session here! […]
