Though I’m a Norman, OK based wedding photographer, I love any chance I get to head to Tulsa for an engagement session at Woodward Park! Holland & Jack won my engagement session giveaway that I hosted in summer 2020! I only host two giveaways a year but getting to meet up with these couples is always a highlight of my year!
When planning our session, we had lots of ideas for where to take them! We contemplated Mt. Scott, The Gathering Place and the Philbrook before landing on Woodward Park! There is so much to love about Woodward Park for engagement sessions but one of my favorites is the Mansion! Fun fact, I still wish that my husband and I had ties to Tulsa so we could’ve gotten married here! The historic charm and European feel is perfect for romantic engagement sessions.
If you’re looking for a European inspired venue for your wedding or engagement session in Tulsa, Woodward Park should absolutely be on your list! The Mansion at Woodward Park and the Philbrook are within a mile of each other and both are able to transport you straight to Europe!
After having to move around our start time thanks to some Oklahoma weather, we met up bright and early for our session! As you’ll see in the photos, the weather quickly took a turn for the second outfit! Thankfully I had kept a close eye on the weather on the drive up and knew we had to work quickly to beat the rain! As an Oklahoma wedding photographer you always have to be aware of the weather and how to make it work for the job!
I am so thrilled that I was able to meet up with Holland & Jack and wish them the best as they plan their summer 2021 wedding! I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from their European inspired engagement session!
