Elegant Summer Wedding at Oklahoma Hall of Fame | Lindsey + Chris

A day that started with a monsoon in OKC turned into the most elegant summer wedding at the Oklahoma Hall of Fame for Lindsey and Chris expertly planned by Aisle Be With You Weddings!

Lindsey & Chris were one of my couples that had planned to get married in April, but COVID had other plans! They chose a Friday in July and carried on their wedding planning with such grace! Arianna with Aisle Be With You made the rescheduling process so easy for us vendors and I was so thankful to still be there to celebrate this wonderful couple!

The day began with the craziest rain storm I have ever seen in July! It was all luck for Lindsey & Chris because they purchased their rings from BC Clark and WON the Pray for Rain contest! If you are from Oklahoma you might know BC Clark for their anniversary sale jingle, but if you work in weddings you’ll know them for Pray for Rain! If it rains or snows at least 1 inch at Will Rogers Airport on your wedding day you get up to $5000 for your ring, how amazing!! I would dare say that most of the winners are from April or May weddings, and L & C thought the same. So it must’ve have been meant to be that July 10th was the perfect wedding date for them!

Thankfully the most beautiful day followed the storm! Blue Skies and (maybe) Tailwinds arrived just in time for Chris (who is a Navy pilot!) and Lindsey to tie the knot at St. Joseph’s Old Cathedral in downtown Oklahoma City. It is one of my favorite Catholic church’s in OKC because of its beautiful windows and amazing ceiling! Poppy Lane Designs created beautiful alter pieces that only added to the classic elegance of the space!

After the ceremony, guests were invited to the reception at the Oklahoma Hall of Fame! Aisle Be With You, Poppy Lane Designs, Abbey Road Catering, and Marianne’s Rentals transformed the 4th floor ballroom into a colorful celebration for the most wonderful couple! After taking some of my favorite portraits EVER on the steps of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, we joined them upstairs for a wonderful evening hosted by FCM Entertainment!

Their reception was full of laughs, happy tears, and the most exciting cake cutting I have ever seen! Amy Cakes created simple, yet elegant white wedding cakes that were adorned with colorful blooms from Poppy Lane Designs. L & C used a navy sword to cut the cake and it was a huge hit! We ended the formal celebration on the steps of the Hall of Fame with sparklers before the couple jetted off to an after party celebration with their nearest and dearest!
