Petroleum Club of Oklahoma and Colcord Hotel Wedding

Megan & Brian were married this past October despite a rollercoaster of a journey to get there! Their beautiful, but windy, fall wedding took place at two wonderful downtown Oklahoma City Wedding Venues and I know you’ll love their love!

The day began at the Skirvin Hotel. The girls got ready on the 14th floor with the help of the talented ladies from Brushed OKC. There was another wedding happening at the Skirvin that day but thankfully I knew the photographer and we were able to grab a few iconic bridal portraits of Megan on marble staircase!

Often times when there are multiple venues I’ll split from my second photographer to be able to provide better coverage for my couple. My wonderful second, Jordan, took care of the boys all morning and took some of my favorite groomsmen images at the park right across the street from the Skirvin! The downtown park is full of lush greens and hints of the OKC skyline which make it such a fun options for downtown pictures.

Their original plan for their ceremony was to be married at St. Paul’s Cathedral but COVID forced Megan & Brian to pivot. The wonderful staff at the Colcord were able to accommodate the ceremony in their European Style Courtyard! I absolutely love Colcord Weddings because of the elegance on the old building. Oklahoma City might be a relatively new city but the few historic buildings have my heart! I even love using the beautiful hotel for engagement pictures, you can see some of my favorites from Megan & Brian’s summer engagement session here!

After the ceremony the family and friends who were in attendance made their way to welcome to rest of the guests at The Petroleum Club of Oklahoma City for the reception! Even though COVID meant that not everyone could witness the ceremony, it didn’t deter people from celebrating the love that M & B share! They received such a warm welcome, the smiles around the room were so bright just seeing how happy the couple was!

Though their day was filled with hiccups and unexpected turns, Megan & Brian handled everything with such grace and joy. In the end they were married and got to celebrate with their favorite people, which is what a wedding should really be about in the first place!
