Persian Wedding at Gaillardia Country Club

Weddings

Y’all. Weddings like this one are the ones that I dream of as a photographer!! Super model couple? Got it. Insanely gorgeous wedding details? Absolutely. Killer dance party? Oh you bet! I am over the moon to share these images with you!

Nick and Sogoal were married at Gaillardia Country Club on October 28, 2017. Their day was filled with beautiful details (swoon) and lots of love. Here’s a bit of their story of how it all started!

“One of my best friends played on a coed indoor soccer team with Nick, She kept telling me how there was a guy on the team that was my type — fashionable and handsome 🙂 — and she was going to see what she could do to set us up. Nick texted me that night and we ended up hanging out at my apartment with a few friends. Nick and I stayed up alll night talking about anything and everything while Ridiculousness was playing in the background. He asked me out on our official first date the next afternoon.” – Sogoal

When planning Sogoal had so many ideas running through her head but they settled on a Victorian, Rustic, Mediterranean vibe and they pulled it off perfectly! Root Stock florals provided beautiful fall blooms to compliment the decor from Factor 110 and Ruby’s Vintage Rentals. DJ Sultan had the party going all night, it was Sogoal’s favorite part of the day. All of the stress was gone and Nick + Sogoal could celebrate with her friends and family!

My favorite part of the day was getting to see the mix of Persian and American culture throughout the entire day. Nick + Sogoal opted to have a dual ceremony. They started with the finishing of the Aghd, the Persian wedding ceremony, that featured the most beautiful Sofreh Aghd! Then they moved into the American ceremony. Both portions were absolutely beautiful and filled with so many laughs. It was a joy to see!

Nick + Sogoal, congrautaltions! Thank you for brining me along to capture your day, it truly was an honor! Cheers to the Nance’s!
