Jessica + Anu’s downtown Tulsa engagement session began in a bit of a dysfunctional way… think insane winds and a torrential downpour! But when you look through their gallery, you wouldn’t even know!
Its no secret that Oklahoma is home to hard to predict weather! One minute it can be sunny, 75 degrees with no wind and the next minute there can be a hail, hurricane force wind and rain and humidity the next! Sometimes we genuinely don’t know what we’re going to get! That was the case as I made my way to Tulsa last fall for Jessica + Anu’s downtown Tulsa engagement pictures. Thankfully one of our locations was already planned to be indoors so it was a quick pivot that helped the session continue with just a minor speed bump! When I say the storm lasted all of 20 minutes, I mean it! After the 20 minutes were up we had amazing sunshine and a perfect windless night to finish out our session!
Jessica + Anu are getting married this Spring at the Skirvin in Downtown OKC so it was great that we were able to incorporate Tulsa for their engagements. One of my favorite locations was our last one that has the perfect glimpse of the Tulsa Skyline. When thinkings about locations for your downtown Tulsa engagement pictures, I highly recommend adding this one to the list if you want a bit of the city + some lush landscaping!
